This piece is deeply personal to me, inspired by the annual daffodils that bloom in my garden. Every year, their arrival feels like the very first sign of light breaking through the heaviness of winter—there is an amazing, resilient magic in that transition.

For me, daffodils possess an almost childlike quality in how wonderfully simple, honest, and bright they are. To capture that essence, I deliberately kept the forms and silhouettes direct, creating a minimalist framework that lets the pure graphic energy of the paint take center stage. I love pairing these wild, seasonal blooms with the comfort of everyday objects, which is why I staged them alongside the fruit bowl from my counter. By contrasting the saturated golden yellows and oranges against a deep, sophisticated violet background, I wanted to create a striking, contemporary tension.
