19th-century Swedish large two-door cabinet armoire crafted in pine. The piece retains its original painted finish along the panels. While the surface appears to be natural wood, much of it is original faux wood graining, a traditional Swedish folk art technique popular in the 1800s.
Two large upper doors open above two lower drawers. The original lock and key currently function, while the left door secures in place with a simple interior metal latch. The interior is divided for versatile storage. The left section offers open space with original hand-carved hooks beneath the crown. The right section includes shelving, two drawers, and an upper half shelf with notched detailing, originally intended for displaying silver or other household items.
The pine shows a warm aged patina. Scratches, gouges, and signs of dried wormhole activity are visible throughout, all consistent with age and use, and none affecting structural integrity. The armoire has been restored, is strong and stable, and ready for use.
