The sculpture depicts a woman's head and shoulders with her eyes closed in a serene expression. The hair is styled in a smooth chignon or bun. It has a brown patina and is mounted on a dark, square wooden base. It is similar in style to a "Bust of a woman By Nam-Thai". It is difficult to determine the material. It is extremely heavy (25 pounds) - so likely some type of metal. But there are some scratches to the piece revealing some white marks. This may just be the finish that is over the metal. Please see pictures for the scratches on the sculpture. It is marked with the artist name "Lunin"
