Henriques, a noted architect and artist from Brooklyn NY, was one of the original founders of the noted Sag Harbor Artist Colony. The Colony was home to more than a dozen artists who created Azurest, the Historically Black Beachfront Community on the East End of Long Island. The success of this group led to a generation of creativity and Sag Harbor is still a haven for the arts today. See less
