Antique French Louis XVI / Neoclassical gold gilt / gesso mirror featuring an elaborate Laurel Wreath crest design with rounded corners. A laurel wreath is a circular or horseshoe-shaped crown made of interlocking branches and leaves from the bay laurel plant (Laurus nobilis), historically worn on the head to symbolize victory, honor, and high status.
