Substantial and architectural, this green alabaster ashtray from Volterra, Italy features a dramatic raw exterior contrasted by a deeply carved polished bowl. The organic outer texture highlights the natural character of the stone, while the smooth interior reveals the luminous depth and veining unique to Italian alabaster.
Retains original sticker indicating production by Prof. G. Bessi of Volterra, a region internationally recognized for its centuries-old alabaster craftsmanship tradition.
