This exceptional mid 19th century example features a rare and highly decorative vertical stripe composition filled with stylized tribal motifs, geometric florals, and symbolic elements. The field displays alternating bands of rich crimson, ivory, teal, and deep indigo, creating a rhythmic architectural effect. The bold navy border, adorned with repeating boteh and geometric medallions, frames the composition with strong visual contrast. Karabagh rugs from this period are celebrated for their artistic spontaneity and saturated natural dyes. The wool pile retains excellent color depth and character, reflecting authentic age and craftsmanship. A powerful statement piece ideal for collectors of early Caucasian textile See less
