In this long-term series of works, pure water surfaces are photographed, sometimes in close-up, and localized. Each location appears highly individual, with its own unique water and light qualities, and has its own recognizable character.

ortwin klipp (born 1977) is a german graphic designer and artist. After studying graphic design in munich, he worked as an assistant to venice biennale artist rené chacón and has been working independently since 2000. His work has been widely published in international and national media, including the new york times, wallpaper, süddeutsche zeitung, elle, gq, and ad, and has been featured at the bmw museum. He has exhibited extensively in germany and internationally, including berlin, hamburg, rome, munich, frankfurt, düsseldorf, and leipzig.
