AMS maps of this size and detail are uncommon outside of university archives and military collections.

This "The World Less Polar Regions" series was produced by the AMS between 1957 and 1961. This particular map is Sheet 2, covering Europe, North Africa, Asia, and the former Soviet Union, with maritime routes marked in purple.
