Set of 11 antique 19th century fine leather bindings - novels by Sir Edward Bulwer Lytton. Brown leather spines with red and black gilt titles and marbled boards. Published by Belford, Clarke & Co., New York.
Edward Bulwer-Lytton (1803–1873) was a prolific 19th century British novelist, playwright and politician best known for coining famous phrases like "The pen is mightier than the sword" and "It was a dark and stormy night". He was an immensely popular author of historical romances.
Good condition - wear and minor loss to bindings. Present well. Each volume measures 7 1/2" x 5 1/4" x 1 5/8".
