This serene landscape painting, set within a classic gold-trimmed frame, captures the tranquil beauty of the West Coast of Ireland in Donegal. The artist masterfully depicts the region's rolling green hills that gently lead to a calm, reflective sea under a sky dotted with soft, billowing clouds. In the foreground, lush greenery and subtle wildflowers frame the view, while two small figures provide a sense of scale and a peaceful human presence. The painting's soothing palette and detailed brushwork evoke a sense of calm and natural beauty, making it a perfect addition to any home seeking to bring the tranquility of Donegal's coastline indoors.

Born in 1947 near Ballyclare in Northern Ireland, Manson developed a passion for art early on in life. With a particular love for the Irish coastline, mountain ranges and lakes, Blair began his artistic career in earnest in the early 1970’s. His work has been influenced by great landscape artists such as Frank McKelvey and J H Craig. He has a particular affinity with the west of Ireland, often visiting Counties Galway, Donegal and Mayo to seek inspiration for his work. Manson Blair is an award winning member of the Ulster Watercolour Society and the Arts Society of Ulster. See less
