Born on May 12th in Stuttgart. Studied in Stuttgart and at the Folkwang School in Essen. Afterwards, study trips to Italy, southern France, Switzerland and Austria. Paints primarily naturalistic landscapes. Above all, he loves the idyll of the Bavarian moors and lakes and is a master at capturing demands and motifs from the prehistoric northern German heathlands in his pictures.
