Description:
Angela Wakefield’s Afterglow is a luminous and emotionally rich miniature that evokes the magic of twilight over rugged terrain. The composition creates a palpable sense of transition—from day to night, shadow to light, and turmoil to calm.

Painted with gestural palette knife strokes, the work radiates texture and vitality. Despite its modest scale, this piece possesses a cinematic presence, encapsulating Wakefield’s gift for distilling atmosphere and memory into pure colour and form.

This collectible painting forms part of her intimate landscape series and would make a powerful addition to any contemporary art collection—especially for those drawn to expressive British landscapes and abstract emotional storytelling.
