Ronald Moseley was a British artist born in 1931, known for his traditional oil paintings of rural English life, hunting scenes, and landscapes, especially those of the Lake District and the Cotswolds. He was born in Marple, Cheshire, and studied at the Manchester School of Art before completing his National Service.

Moseley spent several years painting abroad, living in both Canada and South Africa. In Canada he worked in areas around the Rockies, and in South Africa he was commissioned by the World Wildlife Foundation to create paintings of local wildlife, communities, and views of Table Mountain.

After returning to England, he settled in the North and concentrated on subjects that reflected the countryside and rural traditions, including village scenes, wildlife, horses, and hunting imagery. His style remained firmly rooted in traditional oil painting, with a focus on horses, carts, farms, and classic English landscapes.

Among his notable works are Lower Slaughter, Cotswolds, Hunt in Full Cry, and Mill Beck Farm and Langdale Pikes. See less
