Description:
An exceptional and highly decorative pair of early 19th-century French girandole lamps, dating to circa 1820s. This striking set exemplifies the opulence and refined craftsmanship associated with French Empire and Restoration period decorative arts.

Each lamp features a beautifully tiered, sculptural silhouette, crowned with a faceted crystal finial and descending through elegantly scrolled bronze arms adorned with embossed flowers. Cascading teardrop prisms and faceted crystal octagonal drops capture and refract light with remarkable brilliance. The interplay of richly cast bronze, cut crystal, and gilt-accented wood elements creates a luminous and dramatic presentation.

The bronze with wood bases is intricately detailed with classical motifs, demonstrating fine hand-casting and chasing consistent with early 19th-century French workmanship. The lamps were professionally rewired in the early to mid-20th century and retain vintage-style plugs typical of 1930s–1950s updates.
