A compact low table with a calm, balanced shape and an easy-to-use size that works in many settings: next to a sofa, in a tatami corner, or as a small display piece.
Dimensions: height 25 cm, width 63 cm, depth 39 cm.
The top is finished with a dark border and shows a warm, timeworn patina. The surface bears honest signs of use—fine scratches, small marks and gentle discolouration—showing that this piece has been genuinely lived with. The drawer fronts feature a pronounced wood grain with lively flame-like patterning, and the simple iron pulls add a traditional accent.
Beneath the top are two wide drawers with surprisingly generous storage for stationery, stamps, paper, tea accessories, cables, remote controls, or other everyday items. The sides have an open slatted construction with vertical rails and rest on sturdy continuous feet.
Beautiful to style with books, ceramics, a small ikebana arrangement, or a few carefully chosen objects.
Condition: good, sturdy condition with normal, authentic age- and wear-related marks; the top and the inside of the drawers show visible discolouration and signs of use consistent with a writing table (see photos).
