This refined pair of Art Deco candlesticks, model 1424, was designed by renowned Danish designer Just Andersen in the 1930s. Cast in Andersen’s signature Disco Metal—a proprietary alloy with a soft, pewter-like finish—they exemplify the sleek lines and understated elegance of Scandinavian Art Deco.
with their gently stepped bases and tapered columns, the candlesticks are perfectly balanced in both form and proportion. Each piece is stamped on the underside with Just Andersen’s hallmark and model number, confirming authenticity.
In fair vintage condition, disco metal patina has been polished by previous owner, giving it a dark pewter finish. This piece has an attribution mark,
