Restored Original Biedermeier Writing Desk/Composer
Dimensions: Height x Width x Depth 92 x 126 x 45 cm.
Restored/renovated Biedermeier writing desk from the Biedermeier period, circa 1840. The walnut veneer is particularly striking and distinctive, extending across all four drawers and the writing section. The prominent black flanking columns add a particularly striking and opulent touch. The writing section, with its elegant drawers, can be accessed by folding out the drawer front. The four drawers of the writing desk open smoothly and can be locked with a key. The interior of the desk has been sanded and smells pleasant. This secretary is clean, sturdy, and in pristine condition, having been hand-polished with shellac. This is a beautiful original piece from the Biedermeier period that you should treat yourself to.
