Designed by Sergio Mazza in 1960, the "Gamma" wall lamp represents one of the most elegant examples of Artemide's early production. The brass structure, characterized by a circular base from which a cylindrical arm extends, supports a prominent central circular element with a wide median groove.
The light body is composed of two finely grooved, etched and frosted frosted glass caps, arranged at the top and bottom to form a deflector. This construction solution generates a soft, diffused light, shielded yet enveloping, which enhances the materiality of the glass and the warm presence of the brass.
The dialogue between geometric rigor and material refinement fully reflects Sergio Mazza's formal research in the 1960s, balancing functionalism with sculptural sensibility.
