CONDITION: Excellent overall condition.
A wonderful, hand-molded, glazed ceramic sculpture with a matte, acid-etched finish, depicting a stylized dog. Crafted in an archaic, primitivist style from the first half of the 20th century, this unsigned work is attributable, in our opinion, to the circle of Carlo Zauli, and in any case to the Faenza school of the first half of the 20th century. The object is a good size, larger than it appears in the photos, and is entirely hand-molded, a unique piece of great artistic value. The glazes used are of the highest quality, very full-bodied and compact, and the acid-etched finish is also of excellent quality. Even if our attribution is incorrect, we are certainly talking about a highly valuable object, created by an important Faenza artist.
