Designed by Jo Hammerborg for Fog & Mørup in the early 1960s, the Penta pendant/ceiling lamp is a rare and highly collectible example of Scandinavian modern lighting design.

This model was only in production for a short period (one or two years), which makes it difficult to find today and particularly sought after by collectors of mid-century Danish design.

Crafted from ultra-strong lacquered metal in its original dove grey finish, the lamp measures 40 cm in diameter and 20 cm in height. Its minimalist form combines functional simplicity with visual presence, characteristic of Hammerborg’s work during his influential tenure at Fog & Mørup.

The Penta was offered in a small palette of original colours including dove grey, lilac, and red — all reflecting the space-age and modernist aesthetics of the era.

This example is in very good vintage condition, with minor signs of general wear consistent with age and use. It retains its original structural integrity and sculptural silhouette that beautifully complements both contemporary and classic interiors.
