"Butterfly wall sconce with wings in sliced agate, circa 1980, created by Hubert Deniau for Honoré Paris." In the 1980s, Honoré Paris, founded by Hubert Deniau, Richard and Isabelle Faure, located on Rue des Rosiers in Saint-Ouen, offered monumental decorative objects, often illuminated, and furniture inspired by flora and fauna. Similar to J. Duval Brasseur, whose sculptures in welded brass plates with a golden patina were combined with mineral elements such as amethyst geodes, slices of agate, rock crystal, or white coral, employed up to 40 people and its production enjoyed international success until 1992. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
