The 4 1/2 module reversing pattern shows bent angular leaves around half palmettes,with human figures( the weaver ) and small animals. This pattern is popular on rustic rugs from Persia,Turkey,The Caucasus and even Central Asia. The exact village of origin is unknown,but a source near the Heriz district is likely.
The 3 ft. width makes this runner versatile in many hallway settings. The bold pattern makes it stand out anywhere. Light allover wear has sharpened the drawing. The wool is of excellent local quality. This runner has been cleaned professionally. See less
