All hand carved tabletop box possibly a Bible box made of oak
Dated and initialed on top "MH 1692"
Beautifully decorated with floral patterns
Held together with wooden (treenails) and wrought iron nails
The hand wrought iron hardware and lock are original to the piece

Late 17th century Anglo-American, originally found in New England
We have some history of the item, receipts from previous sales, which will be included. The known provenance is entirely pointing to New England
