19th Century American Hand Carved Gilded Pediment Eagle.
Antique decorative hand carved and gilded wooden pediment eagle. The expressive sculpture with head turned to the left and wings spread is executed in a masterful fashion. This circa 1850 carving represents an American symbol at it’s best. Condition is very good. A minor chip on the right wing tip is noticed.
