We have been unable to locate the name of any style Lane piece with the item number of 58, and we have only been able to find one sold listing of the exact item. That seller sold them as ottomans, but there was no further clarification nor documentation.

Here's what we do know: Paul McCobb designed a line called Signature Collection for Lane from 1962–1964, incorporating round, oval and elliptical inlaid leather on the tops of furniture—including tables. Because the year ours were made is 1964, and the last year McCobb's were made in 1964, we surmise the leather used on the McCobb Signature line is the same leather on ours. We think maybe the leather was left over from McCobb's line, so the craftsman at lane used it on these Acclaim tables. We have no documentation to substantiate this—we are only guessing.
