The … Read more This fine example of original abstract impressionism is a magnificent acrylic painting by the renown Egyptian artist, Mohamed Khedr. The Rose was painted by the artist in Egypt in 2014. Khedr, influenced by the Impressionists and trained in all classical traditions, created his own signaure style. This piece is 18.75" (H) x 22.75" (W) x 1" (D). It is framed in dark brown wood with a classic-style upholstered mat, measuring 2.25" around the painting. Between the painting and the mat is a thinner gold wood frame.

This piece has only been on display at art exhibits and otherwise has been carefully stored.

Mohamed Khedr lives in Egypt with his family and is a regular on the regional and international exhibition circuit. Khedr is a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts (Set-design Department), Helwan University, Cairo, Egypt (1993). He holds a Graduate Diploma in Folk Art from the Arts Academy (1995), an MA in the Higher Studies program in the Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University, and a second MA in Visual Arts from Accademia d'Arte, Florence, Italy.
