Framed original oil painting on canvas by Colorado artist Gary Steffen. Hand signed and dated by the artist bottom right. Framed Size: 15" x 20", Image Size: 9" x 14". Circa 1993. BIO:
"Being primarily a painter of landscapes, my passion for landscape painting was first ignited while viewing an exhibition of paintings by artists of the Hudson River School. I was a teenager at the time and was struck by the tranquility that emitted from those awesome paintings. Looking back, each painting seemed as if to be a window on an expansive view of unspoiled nature, void of human habitation, silent and enduring. Having experimented with oil painting prior to seeing those wonderful paintings, I was determined to emulate the techniques of what I had seen: the glossy, smooth surfaces of the canvases; the luminescent lighting, and the clouds of foliage."
"I have had no formal training in art and it was after years of practicing that I realized what was primarily important to me for a successful painting. I believe that a painting, viewed at a distance, must have an immediate impact that invites the viewer to closer examination where the illusion of the subject and detail are revealed. I have, over a period of forty-some years, produced hundreds of paintings and experimented with various techniques and subject matter. It was inevitable that my serendipitous encounter with those painters of the Hudson River School still has a great influence on what and how I paint. Paining only with oil mounted on canvas, my subjects are almost always landscapes or gardenscapes, as I also have a great love of horticulture."
"I am a native of Colorado, born in Denver, where I have lived all my life. My canvases and miniatures are included in collections from coast to coast and in England, Scotland, Ireland, Sweden and Australia."

Orders where Free Local Pickup or Seller Managed Local Delivery were selected:
- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final
- International, cross-border returns may require different processes depending on the countries between which the item is shipping to/from, and the buyer is responsible and duties (if applicable, on cross-border orders).

Cancellations
