A signed ceramic decanter by renowned mid-century ceramicist Roger Capron, crafted in Vallauris, France. Featuring hand-applied motifs and a rustic modernist glaze, this sculptural vessel is highly collectible. Ideal for vintage barware collectors or fans of 20th-century French design.
Mr. Capron was fond of telling this story: Intended for purely decorative purposes, pieces like these caused the occasional incident when clients used them to store their liquor. The alcohol would evaporate because of the porous ceramic, causing many wives to chide their husbands for drinking too much!
