Vintage handmade African tuareg rug mat. Circa 1980s, this handwoven rug mat is full of character and charm. Believed to be made by the Tuareg people in/around Niger. When making, the weavers would often merge multiple pieces of straw together by inserting one into another to create a piece long enough to weave.
Sizes vary in some cases from end to end and side to side. Measurements exclude warps/tassels. Size measures: 1'4" x 2'3".
