A fine silver plated fruit bowl.

Swid Powell was the highly acclaimed New York City based tableware company founded by Nan Swid and Addie Powell. The two founders had originally met at Knoll. They built a new firm around the idea of architect-driven lines of tableware, re-introducing High Design into utilitarian wares in the early 1980s. They collaborated with a long list of high profile architects and were in business through the end of the 20th Century.

It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition.
Condition Details:
There are some visible very light scratches to the interior base of the bowl from normal use. The box shows signs of wear and age. Otherwise, there are some very fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.

Pattern Name:

This design was apparently originally named the 'King Richard Bowl' when introduced in 1984. The name was later changed to the "Meier Fruit Bowl" or "Meier Bowl". Over time, it has been also referred to as the "Skyscraper Bowl."
