Fantastic life-like and life-size Great Dane ceramic by Hispania, which was owned by Lladro. Hand-painted sculpture is in excellent condition with no issues to mention. Marked Hispania to underside.
A large Hispania ceramic porcelain sculpture of a seated Great Dane, finished in a striking black and white spotted glaze. The figure captures the powerful form and attentive expression of the breed with finely rendered details to the musculature and coat. The underside bears the impressed Hispania mark. A very tall and impressive decorative piece from the Spanish ceramic tradition.
