The item weighs 58 grams and is 2.2” length x 1.8” width, and depth of 1”. The emerald was naturally sourced from the Crab Tree Emerald Mine in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Yancey County, North Carolina. The emerald emerges in vibrant contrast to the black biotite. The sculpture represents a Taoist tradition, of scholar objects meant to be admired and contemplated. See less
