This exceptional 12-piece fish cutlery set for six people is a masterpiece of early Art Nouveau German silversmithing. It is the famous Model 122 from the renowned Saxon manufactory Gebrüder Köberlin (Döbeln), known among connoisseurs as the "Egyptian Decor."
Originally designed around 1903, the set is distinguished by its striking, geometric lines at the ends of the handles. This architectural rigor, combined with the elegant silhouette, makes the set a sought-after design classic of this era.
Set details:
Design: Model 122 – "Egyptian Decor" (Art Nouveau design from 1903).
Material: Solid 800 silver, fully hallmarked with the Imperial Crown, crescent moon, fineness mark "800," and the maker's mark "GK."
Contents: 6 fish knives (approx. 21 cm) and 6 fish forks (approx. 18.5–19 cm). Condition: Excellent. The cutlery has been professionally inspected, bears no monograms, and is in collectible condition.
Provenance: Germany, Saxony (Döbeln), circa 1905-1910.
