The "artichoke" pendant lamp, an original by the renowned german manufacturer peill & putzler, is a design icon from the early space age, dating back to the late 1960s and early 1970s. The shade is made of high-quality, double-layered glass (often referred to as opaline glass)—detailed on the outside and white on the inside. Design: the lamp features a distinctive, relief pattern reminiscent of artichoke leaves or the op art style. The lampshade is chrome-plated. The lampshade is slightly curved, and unfortunately, tilts slightly to one side, a manufacturing defect. The lamp has had its electric power supply replaced.
