Beautiful, medium-sized Louis Philippe period wardrobe in solid walnut.
Two large, paneled walnut doors with original wrought-iron hinges. One working lock and key. Chiseled gilt bronze keyhole escutcheons with Regency-style floral motifs.
Simple, straight, removable pediment.
Simple, straight legs.
White wood back and bottom.
Interior fitted with solid wood, two large shelves (126 x 46 cm) in 2 cm thick solid wood. A half-shelf at the very top.
A small drawer suspended from the middle shelf. Shelves sanded and varnished with a natural, water-repellent top oil finish suitable for food contact.
A sound and robust wardrobe with a natural patina.
This piece comes from the dining room of a very old stone house in a small village in the South of France (Aveyron). Dimensions without the pediment: 134cm wide, 195cm high, 56cm deep.
