this table lamp by amitābha studio features a royal delft (de porceleyne fles) porcelain vase from 1924, hand painted by artist th. A.b. Van lingen with ribbed form and parsley leaf and flower decoration. The blue and white delft ceramic base showcases the traditional craftsmanship of the renowned dutch pottery manufacturer, with hand-painted botanical motifs characteristic of the period. The lamp has been fitted with a new vermilion dupion silk lampshade and fabric-wrapped cord by amitābha studio.

royal delft, also known as de porceleyne fles, has been producing hand-painted blue and white ceramics since 1653, making this 1924 example part of a centuries-old tradition of dutch pottery craftsmanship.
