An exceptional acrylic on canvas capturing a dynamic moment on the iconic Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, a Parisian street where fashion and luxury speak the same language. with vibrant, luminous brushstrokes and simple touches of bright red against a palette of grays, the artist Kerdalo manages to open up the scene, capturing all the vital intensity emanating from this street.
A highly talented artist with a mastery of light and color, Kerdalo, while not belonging to any contemporary art movement, represents an updated version of Impressionism. His works capture images of diverse urban scenes enveloped in vibrant light and rhythm. His pictorial narrative is very personal; his mastery of light and movement are his tools for modeling volumes and creating pictorial evocations adapted to the pace of modern life. His characteristic urban scenes in fast-paced cities like London, Paris, and New York create the sensation of a photograph in motion or the capture of a frozen moment in modern life.
He emphasizes the perspective of wide avenues, the impression of infinity, the movement of anonymous, faceless pedestrians. In his works, everything is in motion. These are cities made of light, demonstrating the hypersensitive vision he uses to reflect his own perception of the urban world.
Kerdalo was born in 1962 in Chamalières (Puy de Dôme).
He currently lives and works in Paris. He graduated from the School of Applied Arts in Paris in 1980. Upon graduating, Kerdalo chose to express himself through illustration, first for the press and then through comics. In 1996, he decided to dedicate himself to painting and immediately enjoyed growing success with the public. Driven by an incredible gift for the treatment of light, he seems to be establishing himself as the heir to the great Impressionists. Today, Kerdalo's work shines in numerous permanent exhibitions in Lyon, Saint-Paul-de-Vence, Toulouse, and Paris. This piece has an attribution mark,
