Danish sideboard, model "Øresund," for Andersson & Söner, 1950s–1960s, in teak and oak with eight drawers.
Sideboard, model "Øresund," designed by Børge Mogensen for Andersson & Söner and produced between the late 1950s and early 1960s. The oak case precisely frames the teak fronts, showcasing their warm, dense grain. The eight drawers with turned solid wood knobs express Mogensen's functional aesthetic, founded on proportion, solidity, and quality craftsmanship. The "Øresund" series represents one of the most successful examples of his democratic approach to design, today highly prized among collectors for its formal balance and authenticity.
