Excellent bronze sculpture: depiction of the noble hero parsifal with cloak and large sword standing in front of his decorated … Read more Excellent bronze sculpture: depiction of the noble hero parsifal with cloak and large sword standing in front of his decorated horse, based on a flat rectangular bronze base, mounted on two stepped green onyx slabs with rounded edges. Signed 'c kauba' on the narrow side in front of the horse, 2 plaques with inscription: 'parsifal' on the front, dedication on the back: 'on reaching the age of 80, with gratitude, pharm. Salary fund, chamber of pharmacists'. Based on the last work by german composer richard wagner, which he himself described as a stage festival play. Parsifal (or parzival) is one of the central figures of european epic poetry and mythology, known as the 'pure fool' who finds the holy grail.
