Stunning, expertly remodeled, antique Victorian walnut wardrobe dating to the late 19th century. This substantial two-door armoire features beautifully figured walnut veneer panels (likely burl walnut) framed by darker walnut stiles and moldings, creating a striking contrast and depth of grain throughout. Draws and shelving have been added to make it functional for modern life.
The wardrobe is topped with a projecting molded cornice above carved decorative trim. The paneled double doors open to a spacious interior (interior configuration can be detailed if shelves or hanging rail are present). Below are two dovetailed drawers with matching figured walnut fronts and original-style brass pulls. The piece rests on a solid plinth base with shaped bracket-style feet.
