The Artistry
An extraordinary hand-pulled woodblock reproduction of Utagawa Hiroshige’s "New Year's Eve Foxfires at the Changing Tree, Oji," Plate No. 110 from his 1857 masterwork series. This hauntingly beautiful nighttime scene captures the magical gathering of foxes at the legendary "Changing Tree". Each fox is depicted with its own shimmering "foxfire," creating a surreal and rhythmic composition against the dark silhouette of the ancient tree and the starlit sky.
