Monumental abstract wall sculpture by Detroit-area artist Leon Dickey, constructed from flowing ribbons of African wood veneer (“sheet wood”) with dramatic dimensional projection and shadow play. Verso bears artist markings including a date notation reading “09-16” and chalk notation consistent with “16 Leon 846,” supporting a 2016 creation date.

Dickey is a mixed-media painter/sculptor featured in Hour Detroit and exhibited with MM-O-DD/Collected Detroit, known for elevating found and unconventional materials into bold, architectural forms.

Approx. just under 5 ft tall, just over 4 ft wide, and projects ~14 in from the wall—an exceptional statement piece for a foyer, stairwell, gallery wall, or modern interior. Hanging wire and back support structure present; professional installation recommended due to scale.
