The "Bokashi" (color gradation) in the grey rain clouds and the deep blue of the Sumida River is exceptionally crisp. The registration (alignment of the colors) is precise, indicating a high-quality hand-pulled printing process. Paper State: Good to Very Good. The paper shows a natural, light age-toning (a slight warm yellowing) that is appropriate for a vintage mid-century reproduction. Margins: Full margins are present. There is very minor softening at the corners and light fringe wear on the edges, which is typical for unframed sheets and will be completely hidden once matted and framed. The Reverse: Clean. The reverse shows the desirable ink bleed-through characteristic of authentic woodblock printing. No evidence of "hinge staining" or tape residue from previous framing, which is a major plus for collectors. less
