The dynamic, minimalist form … Read more An impressive set of five wall decorations in the form of flying seagulls, made of brass. The dynamic, minimalist form perfectly captures the movement and lightness of birds in flight – a classic interior decoration motif from the 1960s and 1970s.
Each element has an individual wing shape, which allows for a free, spatial arrangement on the wall. The composition can be hung in a linear or irregular pattern, creating the effect of a “flock” in motion.
The birds differ slightly from each other, but I purchased them as a set, as shown in the photos, and they are all originals from that era.
The surface of the birds is covered with a dark patina consistent with their age. I did not want to clean or polish them because I know that some people find this unacceptable. However, if the buyer decides to renovate them, the brass color will be more shiny after gentle polishing.
