this iconic design features molded plastic construction with contrasting red and yellow bodies, beige pivoting beaks and graphic black eye detailing. The beaks function as adjustable shades, providing directional illumination while preserving the sculptural integrity of the form.

often cited as an early example of playful functional lighting, the toucan reflects the experimental spirit of italian plastic design in the early 1970s.

the yellow lamp is in excellent vintage condition, with only minimal signs of age and no structural or heat-related damage. The red lamp is in very good vintage conditions with signs of age visible upon close inspection (small marks; the use of an overly hot bulb caused some darkening of the neck and a slight deformation of the red body).
