A rare set of four stoneware pieces from the surrea series, designed in 1940 by wilhelm kåge for gustavsberg. This set comprises two split vases (h 12 and 24 cm) and two split bowls (ø 24 cm), made of stoneware and covered with a matte white carrara glaze. The surrea series embodies the formal experimentation and sculptural boldness of mid-20th-century swedish modernism, blending abstraction and functionality.
the pieces are stamped surrea / gustavsberg and are from the original 1940s production. This piece has an attribution mark,
