The model was introduced … Read more A small functionalist table lamp, model 2574, produced by the renowned Swedish manufacturer Bröderna Malmströms Metallvarufabrik. The model was introduced in 1933. Crafted from steel and partly painted green, it features a circular base supporting a curved metal arm attached with a joint, allowing the angle to be adjusted in any direction. The lampshade has an integrated light switch. Bröderna Malmströms Metallvarufabrik (1904–1974) was a leading Swedish producer of modernist lighting founded in Malmö by brothers Sven and Hugo Malmström. Known for collaborations with designers like Carl-Axel Acking and its role in Swedish Modern, the company crafted elegant, functional armatur for residential and institutional use. Renowned for innovations like Sweden’s first S-marked lamp holders in 1932 and its contributions to Swedish Modern design—featured at the 1939 New York World’s Fair—it also produced steel tube furniture. After merging and relocating in the late 1950s, operations ceased in 1974. Today, its vintage pieces are highly sought after in Scandinavian mid-century design. This piece has an attribution mark,
