This sculptural ceramic lamp base was created by the accomplished Erik Mörlins for Nittsjö Keramik, Sweden.

The form is deliberately simple and perfectly spherical, allowing the spectacular mottled green glaze to take center stage. Rich, nuanced, and deeply luminous, the glaze gives the lamp a striking presence while retaining the restrained elegance characteristic of Scandinavian Art Deco.

Both timeless and highly distinctive, this lamp base is a true statement piece—equally suited to classic interiors and modern spaces seeking a bold yet sophisticated accent. A rare and beautifully balanced example of Swedish ceramic lighting from the interwar period.

It is 23cm (9.05") high, including the light fitting and 17cm (6.69") in diameter and it is in a great condition.
