In a composite style, they feature carved flowers in the volutes of the Ionic section below the abacus, while the cornelian section features prominent tendrils. They are gilded in fine gold over an ochre bole base. In good condition with minimal wear consistent with the period and the marks left by the nail heads that secured them to the underlying structure. Italy, 19th century. See less
